Cupcake Monday – 6/6/16

Howdy folks! It’s been a while, huh? Well, I’ve been busy… Busy devising all-new cupcake things! I bought a 50 pound bag of cake flour (I’ve always used all-purpose flour for the cupcakes I make from scratch) and I’ve been researching different overly-elaborate frosting types. The result of all this is my first attempt at cake flour and Italian buttercream – flavored with orange.

One of the things I really want to do is spend more time on this blog and write more articles and recipes. A big problem is so much of what I’m doing right now is pure experimentation, and I don’t have a recipe that I like enough to share. And what, I’m going to tell you how to pour molten sugar into egg whites when I’ve only done it once? But yeah, what kind of blog just posts a picture once every few weeks? I need to work on that…
